Children celebrate Child Safety Week at Victorian Arcade

On Saturday 10th June shoppers visiting Victorian Arcade in Walsall were treated to a special visit from Marshall – the popular Dalmatian fire-pup from the children's television show PAW Patrol – as part of National Child Safety Week.

The heroic pup made meet and greet appearances at intervals throughout the day, where local families were encouraged to get their cameras at the ready for Walsall youngsters to pose for photos with Marshall.

What's more, Walsall Fire Station and the West Midlands Fire Service where available throughout the day to help raise awareness of the importance of fire safety to visitors at the arcade. Lucky shoppers were also given the opportunity to take a glimpse inside an 'on call' Walsall fire engine.

Darren Griffiths, Senior Regional Facilities Manager of Savills, for Victorian Arcade, commented:

"I would like to say a huge thank you to our local fire department for coming down and supporting our child safety event. It was a hugely popular day and I hope many youngsters took advantage of the opportunity to learn more about the importance of fire safety. Marshall was a fantastic addition to the event providing a fun and informative way to provide potentially lifesaving information."
